Tjutjuna Andy is a ceramic artist from APY Lands, South Australia. This piece depicts the Emu Story of Tjutjuna's mother's and grandmother's Country near Kanpi in the Western APY Lands. The emu is the creation being that formed that part of the Country.
Andy creates works at a ceramic studio in the Musgrave Ranges in the far north west of South Australia. It is a place where women and men practice and develop their art, in order to sustain, support and promote their cultural heritage, and to improve the lifestyle of their community members. The studio brings young artists into the studio to produce work alongside senior artists. Over the past few years these ceramic artists have taken their skills to new heights.
