Dora Griffiths (b.1970) is Director of the Waringarri Aboriginal Arts Board as well as the ANKAAA Board, and follows in the footsteps of her elders to learn about her country, culture and art. Dora Griffiths received a highly commendable award at the Kimberley Art Prize, 2016. Griffiths continues her late father's (Mr Alan Griffiths) tradition of painting Country and her mother Peggy Griffiths.
"I paint my father’s Country in Timber Creek and Nimbiya or Butterfly Dreaming from my mother’s side. I paint these as often as I can when I’m not looking after my children and grandchildren. I follow in the footsteps of my elders and learn about Country, culture and art from my parents and the old people."
